Our World Class Network
Our state-of-the art data center is located in a Excellent facility in a "Class A" office building in Houston. The center features high security; climate-control; raised flooring; uninterruptible power supply; sophisticated fire suppression system; redundant, high speed Internet connections (multiple OC3s); backup batteries and diesel generators; Cisco routers and switches; and the latest in automated backup systems. At the heart of our center is the network operations center (NOC), staffed 24x7 by Our NOC's administrators and engineers.
Our support center runs 24/7 with live operator support. Our NOC is manned 24/7, not just monitored 24/7. We have a live human being (if techs are human) manning this center at all times. While many Internet companies monitor their systems 24/7 through computers and pagers, we have a live human being ready to respond immediately.
Dedicated Cobalt-trained support is always available. In addition, we have also cross-trained a significant portion of our dial-up support staff to support the Cobalt platform.
Uninterruptible Power System
To guard against local power failures, our NOC has two industrial-grade, three-phase Liebert UPS systems. These act as back-up batteries, maintaining uninterrupted power in case of surges or power outages. With these back-up systems in place, we can keep our network up and running indefinitely without relying on external power.
Sun Cobalt Raq4i Web Servers
The web servers are custom configurations from Sun Cobalt with 450 MHz processors and 512 mg of RAM. These are industrial strength network appliances and they are highly reliable for a 24/7 web serving environment.
Network Redundancy - Connected to Four Backbones
Our servers are located in Houston Texas and we are OnNet with 4 different backbone providers both OC3's and DS3's from Verio, Time Warner, Savis and ELI.
Industrial-Grade Air Conditioners
The NOC has Redundant Liebert Air Conditioning Systems that condition our computer rooms and operations center. Air temperature is maintained at an optimal 65 degrees Fahrenheit. |
